Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
In the same skillet, add minced garlic, chopped onion, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
Return the beef to the skillet and add soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
