In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Push the onion and garlic to the sides of the skillet and add the fish fillets. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is cooked through.
Once the fish is done, drizzle the lemon juice over it and top with the remaining butter and chopped nuts. Allow the butter to melt before serving.
Serve immediately, garnished with extra lemon wedges if desired.
