In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook until shrimp turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
While the shrimp cooks, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash gently and mix in lime juice, salt, and pepper.
Once the shrimp are cooked, turn off the heat and mix them into the mashed avocado.
Serve immediately, garnished with lime wedges or fresh herbs if desired.
